Kim Chiu lands the role of My Girl local version
Posted on Mar 29, 2008 under Pinoy TV | No CommentKim Chiu, the first Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition winner got a shock of her life when she discovered that she was chosen to play the lead role in the local version of the hit Koreanovela My Girl during the Dream Big Kapamilya press con. It was the first time that she knew about the project and she even cried upon hearing the good news. “Ang saya, ang saya!, she said while wiping away the tears.ABS-CBN has secured the franchise for the 2006 hit Korean series My Girl from SBS South Korea. This is the first collaboration of the two giant television networks of the said Asian countries.The role of Jasmine (Yoo Rin) which was originally played by Lee Da Hae, will be played by Kim Chiu while the rest of the cast is yet to be announced. While Gerald Anderson her onscreen loveteam will be portraying the role of Julian (Gong Chan) played by Lee Dong Wook in the Korean version and not Sam Milby as previously hummed.
Can Kim Chiu pull off that funny-and-lovable role? Let’s wait and see after all she has proven herself in her previous projects in the network.
