After finishing her Culinary course, Judy Ann Santos ventures another career, now a producer of her upcoming movie Ploning set tio released this April 30.
“Happy din ako kasi first venture ko ‘to as a co-producer and excited,” said Judy Ann.
The story of the film was conceptualized over the span of eight years, according to Judy Ann. She explained, “Eight years yung development ng story. Pero yung making, siguro mga two months or something.” Ploning is not an indie film as what people think, it was shot using 35 mm film. Directed by Dante Nico Garcia who was a native of the beautiful and quite town Cuyo, Palawan where the entire movie was shot.
Judy Ann Santos plays Ploning, a provincial lass who wants to leave her hometown to look for her first love Tomas. However, her anak-anakan Rodrigo (played by Cedric Amit) tries different antics just to make her stay in Cuyo, Palawan.
Aside from Ryan who is documenting the movie for coffee-table book, Judy Ann also worked with some of the showbiz personalities who are close to her heart. Mylene Dizon, Beth Tamayo, Gina Pareño, Joel Torre, Ronnie Lazaro, and Tony Mabesa.
